Don’t understand either fight for Masvidal at this point. He has never, and will never, come close to beating Usman, so there’s no point in even trying to position for a third shot in the future and fighting probably the two guys in that division (other than maybe Wonderboy) that the fans care less about.
Masvidal should go for the high profile rematch with Diaz or a fight with Covington.

If Nick Diaz beats Lawler later on this year, they could also do a brother’s revenge match and have Nick fight Masvidal and probably do some good numbers off of it.
