Hey Guys and girls, This is a follow up to the $500 Blue Belt thread. We have been visiting schools in NC and at every school other belts ask why only blue. Based on the response to date we are opening the tournament to all belts white-black.
Estimate 4 weight classes each winner gets $500 x 4 = $2,000
Five belt division so 5 X $2,000 = $10,000
If enought people enter to have more than four weight classes the payout will exceed $10,000

September is right around the corner. Competitors only have four weeks to register. One thing that needs to be very very clear is that we will only run divisions where at least 10 people have registered. That being said, if we only have one division with ten guys we WILL run the tournament with just one division!
There will be another tournament in April 2014. That will give the BJJ community much more time to get used to this new format and hopefully we can run up to twenty divisions.
If you think this is a good idea spread the word. Tell ur instructor and post this on other forums. The more people that register the more divisions we will have. Download the application and post it in your gym.
Female competitors are welcome. If we get enough interest we will set up a female division.
No one under 18 may compete.
