10-9, 8-9, 10-9? Leeroy, That sound right?

ConqueredbyAlexandertheGreatJJ - No, you still don't get it. Somebody MUST be get 10 points. 10-10, 10-9, 10-8, 10-7. The round CANNOT be scored 9-8.

So what about all the rounds we have seen scored 9-9 because of a point deduction for grabbing the fence, etc? Phone Post

ConqueredbyAlexandertheGreatJJ - Ok, I don't think you guys understand the scoring system. 10 point must. The round winner MUST get 10 points. Since Leeroy got deducted 2 points. Figueroa wins that round 10-8. The other 2 rounds could have been 10-9s for Leeroy. Which would make it 28-28.

Umm... I don't think you understand it? That would be ridiculous. Caceres won the round so he would get 10 points, minus 2 for the deduction: 8-9 round Phone Post

Yeah that's what I'm sayin! Phone Post

Read the scoring rules. Tell me where it says a round can be scored 9-9, 9-8, or 9-7. I'll wait.

Points are deducted after the round is scored.

You still think you are right??

If I'm wrong, I'll eat my crow. As far as my knowledge goes, I have yet to read one thing that says a round can be scored 9-9.

 I just told you.

Points are deducted after the round is scored. The guy who wins gets 10, the guy who loses gets 9. Points are deducted. Final score 8-9. Thats how it works.

Enjoy you meal.

I am wrong. I will eat my crow know. With a little bbq sauce.

I am wrong. I will eat my crow now. With a little bbq sauce.

Maybe this depends on where as I'm thinking I was watching European events or quite possibly they fucked the scoring. Phone Post

From UFC Wiki:

The ten-point must system is in effect for all UFC fights; three judges score each round and the winner of each receives ten points, the loser nine points or fewer. There are no even rounds, unless a point is deducted for an illegal blow from the winner of that round, usually resulting in a 9-9 for that round. Scores of 10–8 are typically awarded for very dominant rounds, with scores of 10–7 reserved for extremely dominant rounds.
