12-6 elbows Conner????

Anyone? I saw at least 10, possibly more. I don't think it matters if you are on the bottom, 12-6 elbows are illegal. The cuts on Chads head were the evidence. And Joe Rogans commentary on Mendes was rude and disgusting. I hope he got some Herb Dean $$$ for dissing a great fighter.
Aloha, Ikaika

Actually, it does matter which direction they come from. 12-to-6 elbows specifically refers to elbows thrown straight down to the ground with the point of the elbow. You can throw the same type of elbow from your back ala Anderson Silva vs Travis Lutter. Phone Post 3.0

Ikaika in San Diego?

I dont think it's physically possible to do 12-6 elbows from the bottom. What he did would be called 3-9 I guess and there's nothing illegal about that in the slightest. Mendes was complaining about them being close to the back of the head (I'm guessing) Phone Post 3.0

El em eh oh Phone Post 3.0

You need to take a look at a non-digital clock again op

this.

I think both Andersons and Conors were illegal. But I really don't have a problem with it at all. On their backs and defending. The guy on top should get out of there or punch more. Phone Post 3.0

They were not 12-6.... Phone Post 3.0

This, unified rules say "Striking downward using the point of the elbow". Connor was throwing horizontal elbows, not really much different from a spinning elbow.

Compare connor's elbows to the JJ DQ

"A question that remains is why the exact same motion used by a fighter on his back isn't a foul. McCarthy explains it simply, "the clock doesn't move." Essentially, with the 12-6 analogy it's always a clock hung on a wall, so an illegal elbow is exclusively thrown from the ceiling to the floor. For example, Anderson Silva used elbows from his back at UFC 168 in his rematch against Chris Weidman. Those elbows are legal because they're 9-3 on the clock."

Not 12-6 at all Phone Post 3.0

Not even close to illegal elbows, they could be described as glancing more than 12-6 Phone Post 3.0

These idiots who can't tell the difference between 12-6 and 9-3 are stupid and unintelligent.

There, I said it.

Lol.

Hopefully OP has a digital watch. Phone Post 3.0

Grasping at straws are we? Phone Post 3.0

I don't think OP knows what an analog clock looks like Phone Post 3.0

Lol this is one of the worst excuses yet OP.

12-6 means coming from an elevated position and raining straight down. Phone Post 3.0

6-12 is illegal? Phone Post 3.0
