The tickets were easy to get for free or buy for under $100 and get good seats on the secondary market.
The are agent empty, I've never seen that many empty seats in Vegas in over 10 years of going to fights here. The crowd itself wasn't really into the fights at all, more booing then cheering. Sucks for Johnson as he is a good fighter but it's hard to market him so I think you see him as a co-main for awhile.
^The arena was empty*
Galloping FUPA -Dom Hemingway - I don't doubt it. Who wants to watch two Mosquitos dart back and forth throwing punches that can't hurt anybody. And yessss I get it, DJ's performance was flawless and it was but who cares? No one, that's who.I'd like to see you get popped in the mouth full clip by mighty mouse and see if you're still standing, no one can take you seriously when you say ignorant shit like "can't hurt nobody"
Doesn't Johnson have like 5 finishes in his last 6 fights or something?
Was a flyweight gate.
While the main event shares some of the blame, that entire card was piss poorly put together. No one in their right mind would buy that ppv, much less crazy, over priced tickets.
I have defended zuffa for some previous bs but this card has no business being sold to the public. They know it, we know it, the fighters know it. Should have been a fight night. Worst case DC v Gus should have been added if they wanted it to be a ppv.
I love mma so I will probably watch it today but no way am I paying $65 to watch that. Just, lol
One last thing. Does anyone actually think Dana and Lorenzo believed this card would do anything? Fuck no they didn't they knew exactly what they were doing. If it didn't sell, oh well we've made a fuck ton of money last 2 months. Any $$ brought in by this card was just icing on the cake. Probably made just enough to pay McGregor the rest of his ppv points from July. Guarantee zuffa boys estimated maybe 100-150k buys for this card and they are quite fine with that. Didn't have to pay out a big purse for a star, all is good in zuffa land.
Does this HONESTLY surprise anyone? The live gate for Mighty Mouse fights will always be low, the PPV's will always be low. His fights aren't interesting to the vast majority of fans.

But seriously, the ufc could give a fuck they still made good money on that card. Was there even a fighter on that card that made over 100k? That's why they gonna keep doing it a keep making money.
