$1K No-Gi Absolute. Benefits St. Jude! (Cen Cal)

On Saturday, April 18th 2015, Royce Gracie Jiu-Jitsu of Fresno is proud to host the 7th Annual “Grapple for the Cure” to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and featuring divisions for Pee-Wees, Kids, Teens and Adults. The tournament will take place at Buchanan High School. 1560 N. Minnewawa, Clovis, Ca 93619.

All Pee-Wee and Kids divisions will be in the Gi. Adults divisions are both Gi and No Gi, including white belt (5 min matches), blue belt (6 min. matches), purple belt (7 min matches) and brown (8 min matches). We will set up Superfights for any interested Black Belts.

Scoring will be based off the IBJJF system, but no advantage points will be utilized and ties will be settled by sudden victory overtime. Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

This year we will also feature a SUBMISSION ONLY No-Gi Absolute Division, and thanks to our sponsors Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino and Fight Gear 4 U, THE WINNER OF THE NO-GI ABSOLUTE DIVISION WINS A CASH PRIZE OF $1,000! Also, huge thanks to T360 for all the time, sweat and energy they donate.

St. Jude is unlike any other pediatric treatment and research facility. Discoveries made here have completely changed how the world treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. With research and patient care under one roof, St. Jude is where some of today's most gifted researchers are able to do science more quickly. St. Jude is a place where many doctors send some of their sickest patients and toughest cases; a place where cutting-edge research and revolutionary discoveries happen every day. All patients accepted for treatment at St. Jude are treated without regard to the family's ability to pay, and unlike most charities 86% of all donations directly go towards the families they help.

We are still accepting donations on behalf of St. Jude and your contribution is tax deductible. We are also accepting any donations for our Raffle and Silent Auction.
In the past 6 years we have raised over $40,000 for this worthy cause, and we hope to break another record this year.

You may register for this event online at https://t360.azurewebsites.net or you may register on the day of the event. Registration on the day of the event closes 1 hour before the division begins. Kids & Teens divisions start promptly at 10 am. No adult division will begin before noon. The adult divisions will begin at 12pm with the No-Gi absolute division.

Feel free to email info@rgjjoffresno.com with questions. You can also call (559)322-4084. Hope to see you on the mat!

lol I feel you. We will split out the adult division by age if possible depending on sign-ups. The point of this tournament is to do something positive through jiu-jitsu, so we are willing to do anything possible to make it more fair and fun for all.

Thanks for the support and the bumps guys. I can always count on my homies from back in the day!
