2 chutebox fighters in prideGP??

Traditionally this hasn't been done.......Murillo "Ninja" Rua has never taken part in the middle-weight GP because he did not wish to potentially fight his friend and training partner Wanderlei Silva....................yet pride has announced that both Wanderlei and Murillo's younger brother Mauricio "Shogun" Rua will be taking part in the next event.

I find this to be a strange turn of events, being that Murillo "Ninja" Rua is one of the top 205 lb. fighters in the world, yet he has always chosen not to take part.

Instead he has continued to fight, and often defeat many of the top fighters in the division with no hope of a title shot....and even trying to gain weight to fight in the heavy-weight GP rather than potentially fight his Teammate.

Why then now has Ninja's younger brother chosen to take part?......and equally imortant is the question: if it comes down to these two fighters........will they fight???

It would be pretty anticlimatic if they were to call it a draw or, if one of the two fighters were to bow out and forfeit.

Also, why then will Ninja not compete?

I am a huge Ninja fan and have always wish he would get a potential title shot for one of the big organizations.

Ninja has battled against many of the worlds top fighters and is deserving of a title fight, and why then hasn't Wanderlei(the champion) ever stepped aside and allowed Ninja the oppotunity to become the middle-weight GP champion?

It would make sense, then they could be recognized as the two very best 205 lb. fighters in Pride.

Anyway, I was curious what others thought of this.

Pride allows 2 fighters per team in the GP. So Chute Boxe chose Silva and Shogun for whatever reason. I think Shogun is a better choice than Ninja as he shows more potential as a lethal all rounder.

yes, but why then hasn't Ninja ever taken place in the past?

I'm a big Ninja fan.......I just would like to see some big opportunities go his way.

also if it comes down to just those two at the end, will they fight or will the fans lose out on a final match?

" yes, but why then hasn't Ninja ever taken place in the past? "

I stand to be corrected, but I think the rules has just been introduced from this years GP

Maybe it's because he gets boned any time a fight goes to a decision.
