20 rep squats are a legit program , but should be used as a basis for solidifying the foundation to move heavy ass weights , or to put on some serious mass. When it comes to the squat a vast majority of people who actually train them hard will have more impressive rep numbers in comparison to their maxes unless they are strictly powerlifters.

Personally squatted 225 for 56 reps at 225 pounds , with a belt unfortunately , something I currently don't use and probably will never use again.
