Though I dont think Wand ever had the speed and fluidity of a Vitor, CC, or Anderson, its often overlooked that what lead to Wand's win over Rampage in the rematch for example was a right cross slipping a Rampage right. He then proceeded to clinch Rampage to death but it all started from catching with him a nicely placed punch.
In Wands prime, the only guy who could throw faster combos was Vitor. Crocop was more of a stalk stick and move kinda guy, Wandy's all out tazmania attack is unmatched to this day. he'd mix in hooks, uppercuts, knees and high kicks. Rampage had no choice but to turtle in his drunken monkey stance.
We're talking about at 205 right or so?
Fedor was pretty fast as well with combos. Yeah, CC was never much of a combo striker but could still leap in and out and cover lots of distance like a bullet. i guess CC beating Wand was more due to style and technique?
Btw, is Rampage's win over Wand the only time someone has come back from 0-2 to win the 3rd match?
