The San Jose Open is a new competition created by a new organization call the United Grappling Federation. The organization is also putting on competitions in the Bakersfield and Sacramento area. The competition was run like clockwork. The day after the close for registration, the brackets were up. 2 days after that, the schedule was up and they followed the schedule to the letter. Everything was on time and moved quickly. I was refreshing to be at a competition that didn't take all day and night.
My school took 8 competitors and brought home 8 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze. 3 of our competitors also won the absolute (open weight) for their levels. As a result, we also took home the 1st place team trophy for Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (the comp had youth and no gi). Big congrats to my guys once again.
Congrats to you and your guys Bolo.
