Early prediction:
Semi: Brazil v. Belgium (my Darkhorse team)& Holland v. Argentina
Final: Brazil v. Holland
Winner: Holland
Golden Boot: Messi
Group B, D, and G is going to be insanely competitive.
Argentina won't get that far. Messi is the best player out there, but the rest of the team isn't strong enough.

Argentina is in a group with Bosnia, Iran, and Nigeria. They will win the group just by playing their second unit. I expect Messi to score at least 6 goals just in group play.
If they win the group-which they will easily, next up is the runner up from group G, which probably be either Portugal or USA. If it's Portugal, that Messi v. Ronaldo matchup will be electrifying, but the fact that it is being played in So. America soil and Argentina being the better team, I have them progressing to top 8.
So IMO, argentina being in a weak group should be guarantee top 8 spot
Btw, Argentina been playing great lately, the combination of Di Maria, Messi, and Aguero is deadly...their weakness is probably their Goalie and their Midfield.

Portugal can def knock Argentina off if they meet in rd 16, that game will either end up in penalty of in a big scoring game, I think Argentina is slightly better team than portugal

Brazil, Argentina, Germany, France and Holland are gonna get far with Belgium(who will win group and shock Portugal before Argentina beat them) certainly being the "minnow" that gets far. I see Brazil(who beat Spain in quarters and Germany in Semis) in the final for sure probably against Holland who i think beat Spain in the first match. Holland to lose again in Final. That Spain v Holland match is crucial, whoever wins that, gets a far easier route
Totally agree, that spain holland match is crucial, and i think it will end up tie.
I think Chile will upset spain in that group play, holland will then beat Chile. All 3 will beat up on the aussie, which make holland the group winner and thus avoid brazil in rd 16.
