Surprised we don’t see “Prime Tank vs Belfort who wins” thread

I wouldn’t mind a Rizzo vs Belfort from them days.

Vitor’s confidence always seemed to correlate with his test levels.

52 seconds and the fight video is missing the first 15 seconds ha ha. They were quite good too. Vitor was truly impressive. His balance, fight IQ (position first), hand speed, all of it.

Nobody can do a tornado of punches like Vitor. Unmatched killer instinct. I always liked how he leans into those punches.

Excellent hammer. Not a good nail.

That is back when BJM was absolutely terrible at stopping fights too early.

This FACT goes un-noticed by way too many old school fans.

*Besides Tank & BJM had a massive falling out.

I was 4 years old at the time. Damn

Damn. I remember watching that in amazement that a 19 year old dude was wrecking people like that. That’s the best version of vitor for me.

Didn’t get into MMA until 2003 but Vitor must have seemed absolutely incredible back then!

I remember someone telling me how he thought Vitor was completely invincible at the time and how he was in shock when he lost to Couture.

yep he was a teenager, bjj black belt, and knocking people out with amazing hand speed
good wrestling too, they said he was a 10x greco roman champ in brazil
looked like he was gonna dominate mma for a decade…

but he still had a good career overall

Yeah he wasn’t THE dominant force we expected him to be, but he had a great career nonetheless.
