Hey guys, never been over here before. Been doing jiu jitsu and mma for the past 10 years. Recently just found I enjoy boxing, something new!
Any advice for a 43 yr old who is starting boxing?
Sell some grills
Mechanics mechanics mechanics and more mechanics.
Watch guys like early Roy Jones and Naseem Hamed and try to copy their styles
They should suit you very well.
Set a date for a fight and go for it.
Be realistic about your training goals. Do your best to learn and master the art. Remember you're 43 not 23.
Enjoy yourself.
Take it easy at first!
As long as you have the mindset that you know you're not going to be a world champ , you'll enjoy it ....it'll get you in shape ....as you progress , do some light sparring ,....
Everyone lines up to tell other people what they cannot do. It's mostly from their own insecurity. Have fun and don't limit yourself. Set goals and enjoy every minute.

Also , bring your son, nephew and/or neighbor kid to the gym with you. We need more kids boxing!
