mismatches are fun because there is a guaranteed beatdown or finish. Two elite fighters going at it many times will just result in JDs. Just witness all the UFC 155 lb. fights. Hardly exciting and always going to decision.
Plus Sentoryu vs. Silva was not a mismatch. Two circus freak going at it. Very entertaining IMO.

Takahashi and Herring wasn't really a mismatch either, IMO, considering Herring's recent performances. Takahashi is the HW KOP, although that division in Pancrase is very thin. He's basically a blown up LHW.
