5 weeks to drop some fat

Coming to Vegas July 16th and want to trim some body fat. I don't need to go crazy, but would like to take off 12-15 lbs or so.

Pretty much thinking low-carb, intermittent fasting. I would like to think that I'm going to do a bunch of crazy, high-intensity interval training, but I can't guarantee it. Does everyone think this is a fairly suitable eating plan, at least? Lots of meat to keep the protein up, and lots of green vegetables to feel things then.

I would do you operate more, but I'm at work right now, but I was just hoping to get a little bit of discussion going.

You have the right idea, keep it simple. Don't get caught up in all the new age bullshit 28% of your beef - 235 % of your micros + the fat on your ass cheek blah blah blah.

you just need to have a basic understanding of fat loss

glucose - glycogen - fat.

high protein - Low carbs/ low sugar, use shakes as meal replacements, slight fasting , stop eating before bed if you do and cardio 4-7x a week.



Watch the fat melt away, people really make it a lot harder than it is.



Low carb will make you look flat.

Each to their own but I keep carbs as high as possible.

0.6-0.8g of protien per pound of body weight.

At least 0.4g of fat.

I fill the rest of my calories in with carbs.

I track macros btw which is my favourite way to lose fat but by no means the only way. I just find it easy and I can eat treats when I want with zero guilt. Phone Post 3.0

any weights? or strictly cardio? i also need to drop about 20lbs in that same time frame.

When you want to drop weight (lose fat) you just need to control what when and how you eat. Nothing else really matters. "cardio" is not the secret nor is it required for weight loss. People lose weight every year without exercise, just by controlling the food. I am not suggesting that not exercising is the best option, just that it is something that people do.

I've done it. It's not pleasant, but it works fast.  And Taku is, as always, absolutely correct.  I did zero cardio after knee surgery a couple of years ago and managed to drop weight with diet alone.

Today, I have 6-8 ounces of 85/15 ground beef with a bunch of arbol chilis and onions, accompanied by a 12 oz bag of steamed California vegetables (broccoli, carrots, cauliflower). For later, I have about 10-12 oz of grilled chicken breast and broccoli awaiting.

Sure, a cheese steak and a blowjob from a downtown Latina whore would be better, but this will have to do for now. Phone Post 3.0

The bigger deficit or the crazier you go (no carbs etc) the bigger the rebound when you eventually stop dieting

How's it going so far?

Down around 214 (6 lb drop or so). Just going to try some ketogenic type bullshit for the next two weeks.
