Of course not. Mma has been made even more mainstream.
Later
No. Interest is down, even among hardcore fans, no real marquee fighters anymore. Typical bland generic corporate product now.
Pretty sad that the most exciting upcoming bout is a rematch from 17 years ago
That’s cause Nick Diaz is the fucking goat
I just wish my EDR stocks were doing better
It’s exactly the same. Compare it to 15 years ago and it was the same back then too. Production hasn’t changed one bit, there are nights when Bellator or One have better production.
I wish they would change things up, make everything a bit brighter, fire Buffer and DC. Get one complete freak show fight per card, have different rule sets occasionally, tournaments…
Might as well because it’s impossible to take seriously as a real sport anyway.
You mean compare the deadness of today to the most popular period in UFC/MMA history?
I must be the only person who thinks UFC is better today than it was 10-15+ years ago lol
Fight Pass is awesome. Free events are awesome. ESPN and FS coverage is awesome
Oversaturated market maybe?
If you want MMA, it is there and available 24/7.
Back 15 years ago, you had to buy VHS or DVDs to watch past fights or wait the couple of months in between new events.
I do miss Strikeforce though. And Friday night Bellator on Spike TV for free
But PFL is on the rise and I’ve been liking it
For them they are earning more after scaling up right so it’s better for them?
Back then events felt special, I even have time for fight nights and would gladly pay for a PPV, the gladiator face the pain opening is silly but I kinda miss it. Nowadays I pick fights to watch from a card, there’s a card nearly every week so even if I miss a card I’ll just watch the highlights
