New York rapper 50 Cent looks like he’s ‘this’ close to dipping his toes into the mixed martial arts world. The hip-hop veteran has linked up with Bellator CEO Scott Coker.
Fif went to social media Thursday (May 3) and promised he had something big in the works alongside Coker.
If you're going to have any famous rapper invest in Bellator, 50 is the guy to get. Almost everyone in the hip hop/rap community respects him and shuts up when he speaks.
Regarding this photo: 50 and Coker met today. I’m told 50 was curious about the fight game, promotion etc and asked to meet, Coker happy to talk. Described to me as a “fact-finding” meeting. Nothing more at this time regarding any kind of working relationship w/ Bellator."
One thing to consider is that 50 cent is a quality producer of content.

50 came really close to be the biggest name in boxing. Seriously, anyone who's heard him speak about what his plans with Mayweather were would be impressed.
He was leveraging that relationship to start a UFC life promotion in boxing. And they would've been in great position to steal Pacquiao away from Arum. He was signing a bunch of dope fighters (like Gamboa and Kirkland) and he (whether they signed Pac or not) was going to use the Mayweather Pacquiao super fight and a TUF like show to expose all the other fighters they signed.
If you've seen all the success he's had in TV I really think the show, the fight, and the promotion would've all been huge. But when Mayweather got out of jail he just started acting erratic and backed out of everything leading to the whole beef between those two where we found Floyd couldn't read. A lot of people thought it was Floyd being scared to fight Pacquiao, but really it had a lot more to do with him being told that his chick at the time (Ms. Jackson) was fucking 50.

Actually Fiddy was trying to go behind Haymon’s back and take Floyd so he can make the deal with PAC. Floyd it too loyal to Haymon and Al has a lot more pull and experience in boxing. Fiddy fucked Gamboa over.
