NBA and NHL were both at historic lows. I didn’t watch a single NHL playoff game for the first time in my life.
People just aren’t interested in sports now, especially with no (or limited) crowds.

Like I said in that thread. I don't believe you. No way is this event doing big PPVs. Khabib isn't a draw. Never has been. He's only relevant to Russia because that's all they have and well, because of Conor. Conor is the star.
2pm time really hurt them but theey got paid a huge site fee so not a big deal
Honestly, UFC is the only sport that I've enjoyed much more without audiences.
The other sports, audiences play a major part of the ambience. In the UFC I find the audience distracting and love hearing the punches, kicks, corners, etc.
surprised that Gaethje vs Tony sold better than Gaethje vs Khabib.

Khabib seems to have similar drawing power to Jones. But obviously no where near Conor.
Still a massive success for an afternoon ppv. There was a time not too long ago where they were consistently doing 200k-300k ppv buys.

There is no PPV in Russia. It airs on a channel UFC has a deal with.
Sure ESPN cares about PPV buys but they also care about their ratings in the markets they have broadcasting deals with outside of PPV.
It would be interesting to see a list of what nations have to buy a PPV and what nations have broadcast deals that include the numbered cards.
Touch has said Russia has no PPV, its free to watch on a channel UFC has a deal with.
UFC 100% knew they would take a PPV hit in NA, the other play here the the ratings around the world were there was no PPV.
I'm sure 20 million plus watched the main event in Russia alone.
