Rodrigo "Comprido" Medeiros the 7x world bjj Champion has moved to Chicago and will be teaching full time at FLO MMA in suburban Palatine Illinois.
The facility is great (8,500sf) as is the instruction, so stop by and train with one of the worlds best's!!

that or people need to stop counting wins below black belt as being world champion

(Comprido is cool and very skilled and legit etc. everyone should do that seminar. I am just venting off something that has nothing to do with Comprido.)

Kinda agree with both sides. Saulo is still 'the man' i think with 6 mundial black belt titles? I expect Xande, Roger and Marcelinho may overtake that eventually.
Still Comprido is one of the greats, a 2 time Absolute champ (1999 & 2000) and closed out Pesado in 2001 all at black belt, so it's not like he's padding his record with Naga World Champ titles!
Also bear in mind, in general, these guys aren;t describing themselves as 1, 2, 45 time world champs it is the people who train under them and the guys who run the gyms they teach at.
Well, it's okay to count Mundial titles at lower belt levels, but they should stop forgetting to mention how many of their titles are at black belt.
If I won the worlds in the white belt I'd be bragging, let alone blue, purple,
or brown.... How many titles have any of us won??.. lol
