Even if you are new, just start watching FULL MMA EVENTS from 1993 to present!
Don't just youtube Minotauro in Rings and expect to know everything about Minotauro. There is CONTEXT to who he fought at the time and who that person was...
CONTEXT is not STATS. That's my biggest problem with the new fans. They just youtube shit and think they know everything.
If you follow the sport since 90's, you'll know Murilo Bustamante and Frank Shamrock had their primes just as much as Anderson has now days. Just because they youtube frank and see him get beat by Nick Diaz or Murilo losing to Nakamura from Pride doesn't mean they weren't fucking GODS of MMA back in the day!!
Know your history. That's all I ask from the new fans....
Royce Gracie debut in UFC - Learned that ground game is important
Frye vs. Bietti - Learned that BJJ is beatable by a Wrestler
Coleman vs. Maurice Smith - Learned that Wrestling is beatable by a striker
Sakuraba vs. Royler - Learned that Size DOES matter
Wanderlei vs. Sakuraba - Learned that well-rounded skills are important
Dana White - Learned that MMA is just as corrupt as Boxing.
TheTrollSmasher - You guys learn a couple fighters names and a couple of submissions and jiu jitsu moves and you think you know something?
The great majority of you dont know what you are watching anymore then mike goldberg does, do not be fooled by the UG's outward appearance of being filled with hardcore fans. This place is filled with graduated TUF noobs who know very VERY little about fighting beyond a some fighters names and the names of a couple moves.
You have no scope or measure of the level of the fighters and athletes competing today and frankly most of your opinions on what works and does not work in a fight are flat out wrong.
There are still people on this forum who have not learned the lessons of the early UFC's and think someone like Remy Bonjasky would "rape" BJ Penn because he is bigger and bigger guys dont need to learn jiu jitsu or some rubbish.
If i am talking about you, you clown please for the love of god stop posting.
Next your going to start a thread saying the sky is blue huh mr. state the obvious?
Remy would fucking ruin BJ in K1 what the fuck are you talking about?
rule number one.."leave your ego at the door"....

Elvis - Man... 99% Am I a sheep or a shepard?
You're the King!
...of the sheep!
;)
99% of the people on here don't know half of what they are talking about 35% of the time.
Calhoon -I take big positions against dead square money.... like when guys are laying like -200 on aguy that has a market price of like -175....or taking +250 when other books have +300.Oddessa -What about the whole equal action myth?

shhhhhh......... ur killin my earn if they ever fight.... :)
That equal action is a myth..but often confused with creating a number that generates 2 way action...unless u can write big numbers 100k+ on both sides of every game/fight...
In a perfect booking world I'd love to book 100k on one side and 50k on the other on every sport /bout on the board. I'd retire early... but that never happens..
IrishFighter110 - correct, but dont be fooled by join dates, alot are not noobs.
what does the day u joined this fourm have anything to do with somone being a mma noob

Nothing IMO, but you're still a TUF noob.
