Drew Fickett is supposed to fight this weekend at WMMA in El Paso, Tx. Today they were doing promo and photo shoots and he was so blasted, Karo had to carry him to his room.
A drunk on the main card, and classy veterans on the undercard like Buentello and Beerbohm. 
Being wasty-faced doing a promo is classless and unprofessional, that being said lets not sit here and pretend Buentello should be on any main card anytime soon.
Damn, thats a shame. I thought Frickett had cleaned himself up.

He was looking good winning 5 in a row. I can see why he lost 4 straight.
I didn't say Paul was prime time or anything right now, i just was pointing out that ficket will be main event and get more money from sponsors etc, and you have other guys who try and do it right and get the shaft.

Drew Fickett is pretty much the poster boy for "What If?" as far as wasted talent. Such a crazy skilled guy who could have done so much if he'd taken on his demons earlier in his career... I'd say it's 50/50 on whether he actually fights in this next event. Showing up drunk to press conferences is one thing, but this guy has also been pulled out of fights for showing up to the cage drunk.
It's really too bad; hopefully he can take some time to just get his life together. Even if that means he never fights again and just starts over at McDonalds or whatever, his life will be better for it.

El Paso is know for its booze and Mexican food. That town can drink. Fickett had no chance.

Personally i think there should be a rule about a guy showing up pre-fight to any event (week or so out) and being intoxicated. Poses health risks and if promoters know, holds them and commission liable.
