Jiu Jitsu is so much more than "Pulling Guard"..
I bounced for years and used Basic Jiu jitsu hundreds of times successfully....it's the best. I was also a competitve Kickboxer from 12 years old up....

Really? Wow...thanks for the revelation! Maybe your 'competitive' kickboxing enabled you to close distance and use your mad jj skills?

My buddy has a good size fish tank and he went into Scott's to buy some fish. They start asking him questions about how often he cleans the tank, water changes, etc. My buddy gives them some half-assed answer and they refuse to sell fish to him because they don't think he's dedicated enough. Hard core dudes in that store.

I'm with you on that one. I can't tell you how many times I've dissolved situations using a standing arm triangle.
This is a time when we really need THATS STREET posting.
BJJ can work for the streets ...you just have to utilize/modify it as any other martial art
