You can adapt some of the principles to MMA. keeping your lead hand low to jab/stop the shot, using head movement to slip punches to counter or clinch, or sucking up punches with a shoulder roll to do the same.

Yeah, the head-kick is the major thing I'd worry about out of this stance. Although I guess you could bob and weave under it.

I'm new to boxing and am just doing some nag work and sparring infrequently. I am trying to be be fundamental as possible when I spar...anyways, how long do you think one should wait until trying to play with the front hand low? I don't want bad habits, but I would like to learn variation since a lot of people fight that way and it can help you understand it...plus i wanna look cool. haha
