A 338 Lapua pretty much needs a scope of its own, you’ll never be able to enjoy the limits of that rifle without good glass on it. I know times are tough right now but at some point it deserves it’s own scope.
joesonshuevos - Maybe go to a gun shop and see if they have a used quality scope cheaper? I did it recently and saved a bunch of money.
The used market is a great way to score killer deals on optics to be honest. Always someome looking to score some cash or fund a build or something etc.
Arms list, gun broker, forums etc have some solid deals out there if you are willing to hunt a bit IME.

Years ago I got a pretty decent deal on a Nightforce this way, from a trusted store. Hard to explain but one of those places that makes things right if you ain’t happy.

This is true.
To make it worse and theKen is really going to give me hell about this part.
I have never fired this 338 Lapua and I bought a silencer for it years back before the rules about trusts changed. Got a Silencerco Big Bore Harvester suppressor, never sent a round down it or the rifle. I think that was in 2016.

Man you need to get out to the range and shoot that thing!! Hopefully you’ve been buying some ammo here and there along the way. I still see 338 Lapua ammo on dealer shelves but it’s gotten pretty pricey.
