Thanks!

Thanks for sharing, that triangle looks cool. Probably I'm gonna pull my groin or knee the opponent in the face but have to try it!

Always good stuff OP. Knee cut is my go-to pass

Thanks!  I love the knee cut, and kind of always have.

It's all totally worth it if you get it on video.

I was never a fan of getting the same side collar grip and keeping your arm inside like that instead of punching it under the armpit...although I think it would be reasonable against the knee shield defense, making it similar to cyborg's punch pass. All i all, though I feel like there's way too much back expossure. If I'm not going to get the underhook, I do like the cross collar grip b/c that can really keep him flat.

Interesting.  I'm not familiar with Cyborg's "punch pass", but I like reaching for the same side collar so that I can flare my elbow out and it acts just like an underhook.  However, my approach goes against the grain (and what Daniel shows in the videos).

a lot of innovation comes from an against the grain approach. Nothing wrong with that, as long the core fundamental reqs of the pass are addressed.

I imagine you've got to be pretty sensitive to that elbow positioning in order to be able to flare it out... Once you sink it inside, I would think that the bottom person would be trying to block it with his body as he reaches around your waste...or some other means (cross grip) to keep in....

Also, what's your thoughts on how this gripping deals with inversion?

Cross collar or same side collar?  Once I get the leg stapled, I don't really have problems with people inverting. It's generally in the transition leading up to that.
