After weigh ins and rehydrating and stuff, what have some of you guys eaten?
Many people eat tons and eat frequently, but keep it healthy.
Others just go nuts.
I'm parched and starving right now and could use some quality stories/ funny stories/ interesting stories.
I used to go batshit crazy. I must have eaten four plates at a brakfast buffet after GQ weigh-ins last June, and after the weigh-ins for the World Team Trials in August we went to The Keg and I probably ate three pounds of salty meat, potatoes and veggies. When I woke up the next morning and weighed myself, I was 3 lbs heavier than when I started my cut. :)

The first thing that touches your stomach after the scale should be chocolate milk.....easily the greatest recovery cure-all out there.
But yeah, I typically go nuts after that.

I don't know about you pro fighters, except what I've read. My son cuts weight for high school wrestling and after the weigh in he likes to grab a steak... blue rare.
Water and Pedialyte immediately after weigh ins. I may have a little bit of fruit, nuts or chocolate(just a plain chocolate bar) just to get some energy, but if you start eating right away before getting the hydration going you are stupid. After an hour and a half or so of continuous rehydrating then you can think about meals. Thats when sushi is the greatest thing of all time.
And Kennedy, couldnt you have used someone else's name to tell the story about your first weigh cut?
Also keep in mind if you dont cut much water, the rehydration is less important. I cut a lot of weight and therefore the rehydration is the most important part of the whole process for me. I usually eat before my morining workout on the day of weigh ins so at no point have i ever killed my metabolism by starving myself like a lot of you bone heads do.
I walk around at 160 - 165(a little chunky) now while im training, and i fight at 135.
You cut 15% Sean? Isn't that usually around the point where most people start to get diminishing returns on the cut?
It usually comes to about 10-12 lbs of water for the actual cut (which is alot for a little guy)in the last day and a half. The whole process is a 3 week thing for me. Im a cool 159 right now, weighing in at 135 in 3 weeks. : )
Ive never had problems with energy after making weight. I take the replensishment process very seriously and have a specific plan that i have followed for every cut in the last 5 years. With 24 or more hours to recover, i have never had a problem.
When i wrestled and went from 140 down to 118.8 every fucking weekend, that sucked and i fucked things up a lot back then(but only missed weigh once...and it was brutal, i was off by 0.3kg). But thats how i learned how to do it. Trial and error, fren.
Sean Quinn cuts weight like a true man. If you pound the food down to fast, you better be close to a washroom...cause you'll be pissing through your ass.
