AGC: Easter Bowl

The Association of Grappling Competitors has cancelled our March show, March Mania, do to scheduling issues. Although we were hoping for an 8 tournament season, and we are now poised for a 6 tournament season, we are happy to announce that our next show "AGC: Easter Bowl," will be on Saturday April 7th 2007 at Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School in Sudbury MA. This show/date has now been confirmed with the venue, as has our June show AGC: Spring Championships, which will also be held in Sudbury MA, at our regular venue of LSRHS.
In addition to our schedule announcement we are proud to announce our new fighter registration rates for children. Any fighter under the age of 13 is now charged 45.00 rather than 65.00, to fight. The usual rate of 65.00 applies to all adult fighters, and as usual our tournaments feature the following:

-Over 45 divisions -Four-fight guarantee/no division cancellation guarantee (see AGC staff for details) -10 rings -2 ring extra for warm up -Over 35 staff members -Absolute tournament with cash prize -Brand new facility -AGC Certified referees -Team awards -A pre-registration team discount, as well as other team benefits -All coaches who contact Jason Hammel before the show will receive compensation for the time they spend at the show cornering their guys. (Up to 200.00, see AGC Staff.) -Out of state discount and complimentary lodging. (Case by case basis, see AGC staff for details) -Divisions for women, teens, and children

This tournament will count towards AGC standings, and our format will be the same as our previous shows: double elimination, 15 pound weight classes, absolute divisions at every skill level, and our promise to get everyone who wants, four fights.

Our last tournament, October smash, was an even bigger hit than our first tournament. Our show had 33% more competitors, and we finished in less time than we finished in our previous tournament. We are looking forward to putting on shows that are even more efficient and exciting than out last season, and at the same time standing behind our promise. We are proud to be the only show to guarantee our fighters four fights at every competition, and to never cancel any divisions that a fighter has applied for.

tell your coach to check us out.

How do you match up the kids as far as experience goes?

Kids are usually matched by weight alone. But the whole thing depends on who comes out, there are various submission rules depending on the situation. The more kids that come out the more evenly matched they can be etc. Thanks for the question.
