Man after the Palhares fight I thought he was going to become a legit MW title contender. Not even 2 years later he's retiring at age 29. Injuries fucking suck.
Maybe he will step away for a bit and come back in a few years. Obviously he is going to stay around the fight game so if he can take it easy a couple years to teach he might be able to come back with a healthy body to make another run. He is still young.

He says in the video that he's retiring until the summer of 2014, when he'll decide if he'll fight again. If he does come back he said it'll likely be at 205.
