Alberto Crane: Next LW Superstar?

I think he is going to be a rising star after dispatching of Huerta in dominant fashion. I heard he's the real deal from a couple of sources that have traveled around the US.

should be a good fight

"he was brought in to lose and he will lose....every fighter has rumors
about how they are the "real" deal."

I am sure Dana and Joe Silva were VERY careful in scouting Crane. Too
bad, as I would love to see that disrespectful punk Huerta thrashed. It is
possible for Crane to win though and we have to have hope.

I like Huerta but was a little bit upset with his disrespectfullness at the weigh-ins. He needs to fight a top 10 guy soon.

What was the "disrespect" at the weigh-ins?

I did not see the weigh in video. What did Huerta do?

Yeah, what'd he do? I DID see the weigh-ins and don't recall any disrespect. I might have missed something though.

As for Crane, he's going to prove he's no one stepping stone. Admittedly, the only fight of his I seen was against Vazquez who is a great (if not awesome) fighter. Sounds silly that I'm picking him to win based upon that one fight and word of mouth, but I stand by it.

Crane: [to Zuffa] Wrong bet! like VanDamme said in Lionheart

Handshake juke is bad karma!!!

I am calling it now! Crane will tap out Huerta

I think Crane's got huge potential, should be an entertaining fight. Smart move on the UFC to add him to the mix. As for that fight with Javi, it was awesome! Javi did manage to take a win from Alberto at the Abu Dahbi trials in Long beach.

I sparred with Alberto a couple of weeks ago.  He's good some good jitz.  Good luck }:-)

I've heard good things about Crane and don't think he will be an easy opponent.

Where did you get to spar with him, Luke?

=P

Huerta demolished him.

Hey, Dino stop listening to the birds!!!!!!!!!!!

Sean Alvarez brought him down to Ray Longo's gym.  I was in alot of similar positions that Huerta was.  Crane has some really slick transitions

slick transitions, yes. anything else, no. he needs strength and cardio, a lot of CARDIO.

I like Roger too but let us not get ahead of ourselves he has fought nothing but newcomers in the UFC let us see him against Tavaras or Joe Stevenson..

"Hey, Dino stop listening to the birds!!!!!!!!!!!"

lol Do I know you?

Guys, I think Crane did excellent considering he hasn't fought in forever. Remember, this is the "big show" and Huerta's a top guy (like it or not). Crane's endurance did him in for sure. In fact, it seems that Crane's weakness was Huerta's strength: cardiorespiraory endurance. Let's see if he learns from this. But wow @ his slick jiu jitsu. He had Huerta in trouble plenty of times (and vice versa of course)!
