Aldo is not fighting the best FWs IMO

Aldo's destruction of Gamburyan was expected, I mean Gamburyan isn't an elite FW..Omigawa, Warren, Sandro and Bibiano are the FWs to beat not some guy in WEC

Tell them to get their asses in WEC then.

The onus is on Zuffa to sign these fighters to fight him, not for him to break his contract to go fight these guys to appease threestars35 on the mma.tv internet forum

 Grispi!

first off Sandro is out of the question, both Nova Uniao, its never going to happen

like i said on another thread

its not that he NEEDS to be fighting Omigawa, Hioki, Bibiano, Warren to prove he's the best

but having a couple of those guys in the WEC would certainly deepen the division

there are still some great fighters left in the WEC FW division:

Josh Grispi

Diego Nunes

Chad Mendes

Javier Vazquez

Mark Hominick

and you can never count Mike Thomas Brown out of the picture

Omigawa: No better than Gamburyan, but would still be a decent fight

Warren: Worse than Gamburyan, would get massacred

Sandro: Training partner, would not fight

Fernandes: Hasn't fought in 7 months with no fight scheduled, has publicly stated DREAM owes him a bunch of money, can't imagine this guy won't end up in the WEC eventually

Its crazy to think that the Omigawa of today is the same guy who looked horrible in the UFC. Granted that was at 155

Warren is good, but he has not proven himself enough for that to be a fight Aldo NEEDS to take. I would love Warren to come to the WEC and beat a contender or two and then fight Aldo. I think he needs a few more fights to round out his skills first. Of course this can't happen right now anyways, but its not like if Warren was a free agent he would deserve an immediate title shot.

Bibiano vs Aldo is a fight I want to see right now. Bibiano is on a tear at the moment and has beaten many of the top in the world. Stylistically it is an awesome match. We would finally get to see Aldo on his back

According to pretty much every mma ranking system Aldo has beaten 3 out of the top 5 ranked featherweights in the world.

lol... joe warren... warren got lucky in his last fight

Hi napalmstyle. I think it's pretty lame that you are using another screen name and won't address the comments you made on this thread:

The amazing thing about Zuffa is they got the fans to care about there 'business model' and not the fights, as fans you should want to see the best fight the best and demand the best fights, you shouldnt care about the promotions business model and money they make

FW is just extremely splintered right now, even worse than LW. WEC still has the most depth so it makes the most sense for Aldo to stay put.

DREAM has a solid FW division, but outside of Fernandes and Omigawa (whose career has gotten a boost from a few gift decisions) it's really not that interesting and they probably only have 10 guys in the whole division. Takaya has had a resurgence but I can't help but remember him as the guy who went 0-2 against B-level competition in the WEC.

Sengoku used to have a good FW division but without Omigawa it's really just the Sandro and Hioki show. Sandro wouldn't fight Aldo and Hioki would be a heavy, heavy underdog.

Aldo would wreck all of them

faber ws a very legit opponent and a huge win

Stop caring about Zuffa's business model and worry more about the fights, when 'super fights' are not made it is not because of the fighters or the other promotions

It's going to be a dominant wrestler that takes Aldo down.

Maybe Warren although I don't think he's ready yet.

 Nobody wants to fight Aldo.....

I can't remember a fighter where the opponent didn't get seriously fucked up....

All were one sided....

Mike Brown (great wrestler who's massive) didn't have shit for Jose....

And striking was the last aspect of Aldo's game that he perfected.....he was a bjj ace first and then learned standup.....

says the guy who shamelessly nuthugs SF to the death and supports every move they make. Of course you have no problem with Nick Diaz and Gil staying in Sf and fighting lesser fighters than they'd face in the Ufc but when the situation is reversed it's a travesty that us fans aren't demanding Aldo leave the Wec.

Of course you always fail to mention that Warren, Omigawa and Bibi are in one org while Hioki is in another(Sandro shouldn't even be considered because Aldo will never fight him) or the fact that Zuffa has constantly signed the best prospects year after year and nearly always is able to find quality challengers for their opponents.

Still you are obviously right. Aldo should leave the Wec where he's quickly becoming a star to fight for Dream or Sengoku who hold 5 cards a year all for 3 or 4 match ups.
so true., dude even manages to hate on the WEC.

Isn't Patricio Pitbull basically Aldo-lite?

Patricio got pretty screwed over in the Warren decision, people are forgetting about him.
