I'm sure those will be fulfilled , but thought that was a pretty big part of that interview. Sounds like some miscommunication going on.

I'm confused. Did Aldo not know that Pettis was moved into a lightweight title fight?
Don't know what he's talking about. But he said there was promises Dana made and that was the reason it's not done. And insinuated Dana says things in the public to get the fighters to sign before he fulfills his promise. That was my take , I think it's interesting that this is being said by a current champ in public.
Is he referring to that time where it sounded like Aldo was trying to get a lightweight title shot if he were to beat Pettis and Dana White insinuated he was holding out on signing a contract for the fight?
Because other than that, what he's saying isn't making much sense.
Maybe he thinks something was supposed to be done and it hasn't been done. Don't know what that is , but plainly says that's why the deal is not done. For all we know its because he didn't get some promised donuts or some money or a Bentley. In too see how long this goes on before Aldo says his manager didn't tell him something.
I read it and it seemed pretty clear. Aldo is saying Dana said originally that if Aldo was willing to fight Pettis(the second, Edgar being the 1st, non 145'er dropping from 155 for a shot) at 145, that Aldo would be given an immediate title shot at 155.
It appears Dana wants Aldo to vacate his 145 title & come up for a shot at 155 right away. I don't think Aldo wants to vacate his title but that's personal opinion not in the article. In a previous interview Aldo said he wanted to be able to hold & defend the 145 & 155 titles at the same time. Two division champ badass is his goal

Barnett is all about the money. Why you think it took so long for him to sign with the ufc? Because he was exhausting every possible option, to see if there was more money available, somewhere else. Why do you think he's been fighting outside of the ufc for the past 11 years? Why do you think he left the ufc in the first place? I'm a fan of Josh, and I don't hold any of this against him, this is his career. But, let's stop acting like he isn't after the money, as much as anybody else.

Just to clarify I'm not looking for Aldo to do anything. He can stay at 45 go to 55 I don't care either way. What I said is when Andre (his manager) starts putting out tweets as soon as the fight is over saying Pettis needs to vacate the 55 pound title and move to 45 it makes it seem like Aldo is worried about fighting Pettis. I DO NOT think Aldo is afraid to fight anyone. I was talking about his manager.

It'd be not good financially for the UFC as more title fights means more draw cards and also creates a back log for the contenders coming up.<br /><br />I think if they do fight he should allow Aldo and Pettis to decide at which weight class it takes place and if the winner obtains a 2nd belt with his win, then he decides which of his 2 belts/divisions he vacates.
