Although the UFC rankings are flawed..

I, like seemingly many, think the UFC ranking system is deeply flawed. That's a topic that has been done to death.

But is it wrong to assume that the UFC doesn't think the ranking system completely sucks because they continue to use them? And if they continue to use them why the fuck don't they use in any sense that would imply they actually like it?

For example if we don't agree that a fighter should be ranked 1, but the UFC sets up a fight between C and 1 that would make a little bit of sense. We don't agree with the rankings but the UFC does.

But it seems that even the UFC believes their own rankings are shit. For one of many examples UFC 186 has the champion fighting rank 8. Which without going into details of the two fighters sounds pure stupid.

So my simple question is this. UGers know the ranking system is shit, but does the UFC know it too? Otherwise why the fuck don't they follow their own fucked up system? Phone Post 3.0

What's goofy as hell to me is hearing buffer announce mendes as the "#1 ranked featherweight fighter in the world."

Calling the second best fighter in the world the number one ranked is just weird and backwards. Phone Post 3.0

^He should start saying "contender" to distinguish them from the champ.
