Dom is the color guy, and so is Rogan. To me it's seems like a passing of the torch. Dom will body slam Rogan like Hogan did to Andre the Giant and the transition will be complete

He's needed to offset Rogan. If Goldie were still around he'd just agree with everything Rogan said. In this case Rogan called the fight as if Thompson was dominating the entire fight. Cruz at least pointed out some things Woodley did and had the decision for Woodley.

Nope. He provides honest assessments and first hand experience. Dom is able to articulate both physical and mental aspects of a fight better than anyone I've listened to. The top 3 commentators are Joe Rogan, Frank Mir, and Dominick Cruz by a mile in my opinion. A special place in my heart for "pork fried rice" Phil Baroni as well.

To incessantly remind us of what the gambling odds for the fight are. That's all he talks about. Anik should go work at a Vegas casino as a clerk and just take bets for a living.
I think with Dom, Rogan gets phased out a bit. Goldy had charisma that Anik and Dom will never have. Hearing Anik and Dom gives it a Fs1 feel.
I like Cruz. He brings a fighter's mind and perspective into the commentating. He's well spoken, and can explain even the most complex situations in the cage as they occur. Whether his job is the ads or not, I think fight sports experience in some form should be a non-negotiable pre-requisite to commentate on main event UFC cards
I wish he would yell more and scream stuff like "he hit him hard enough to bruise my next door neighbour!!!" And "He's got more blood coming out of him than hoes have dicks going in!!"
