Am I the only person that knows Anderson Silva allowed Chael Sonnen to do whatever he wanted to him for 4.5 just so he can act like he pulled off a miracle win and become liked again?
Why you ask?
1. His two previous title fights before that were SO bad that people were starting to hate the dude.
2. He needed to make it seem like he was facing high level competition when in fact he never has.
Facts:
Anderson Silva could have stuffed any takedown Chael sonnen brought his way. Nobody else mentioned this at the time but everybody should have realized Silvas con in the second round of their second fight when Anderson Silva showed his hand. The Chael sonnen was never any competition hand lol. And I'm not talking about the knock out. I'm talking about the takedowns he stuffed before he knocked him out.

My friend who a is crusty punk was in Toronto at this guy's appartment getting hammered and he only went there with friends who wanted to grab something and wanted to leave cause they were getting into some heavy drugs he didn't want to do. All of a sudden this guy comes to the top of the stairs and yells "Hey man do you have any crack I can grab?" and the guy next to my friend yells back:
"Fuck off Corey, I told you no more crack till you pay me some rent. Yeah thats' Corey Hart he lives upstairs and smokes crack now"
This may be controversial but I saw that fight about different. Chael had good positioning that whole fight. Stayed tight (even defended the triangle early on). Then last couple of minutes or so in the 5th sits up and looks a bit sloppy. Maybe and very possibly fatigued OR maybe Chael already had an idea of the repercussions of his TRT issues.
There is a lot less shame in losing to the G.O.A.T then there is having ur title stripped n branded a cheater

Ya not many people have watched that documentary. Nog told him nono you're gonna knock him out and silva looks at him and goes "no you watch I'm gonna submit him". There were several points in that fight silva could've slapped that triangle on sonnen and he knew so he just waited till the most dramatic moment to do it.
