Considering amateur mma is a health risk, we put it on the line, and we actually pay money for the experience [training, training gear, fight gear, medical expenses, etc...]
Is there any companies that sponsor amateur fighters. Obviously I'm not expecting a check, but maybe in the form of some free gear or something along those lines.
(I dont really know the parameters or guidelines of sponsorships for amateur competitors, so maybe someone can help with clearing that up as well.)
If so what companies do this and how do you go about contacting the necessary people who will be able to determine if they will sponsor or not?
Im not looking to be on the front page of a website or get a few K for putting a patch on my shorts, just curious if there are companies out there that support amateur fighters trying to get experience.
Thanks in advance.
Here at Jaco, we run our amateur sponsorships through Hookit.com
Log on, create a profile, and then request a sponsorship from us.
If approved, you get a pair of shorts, a shirt, and a hat for a very discounted price only available to our amateurs, as well as a discount code to use for other items in our store.
Just something to look into.
