Amazon union workers?

Please tell me why I should support Amazon workers trying to unionize.

I honestly would like to hear some solid arguments for a union.

youre closer to becoming an amazon worker than becoming jeff Bezos.

amazon workers having money means they spend it on the local economy, supporting local business. Jeff bezos having money means he spends it on african charities and buying congressmen.

I didn't know they worked for free.  In that case they should unionize.

Why would you support rich people over people like yourself? That’s so retarded

They seem like they have so much clout they’re gonna shit on people just because they can. Probably already do. It’s just harder now because our society is fixated on the gentle feelings. You have to put up a good front/fascade of “We care about our people.” otherwise the media will eat you alive.

Not supporting the union IS supporting myself.  Why would I want to start paying more for Amazon stuff and be annoyed by their strikes?

Aren’t there stories of people having to piss in a bottle because of a lack of breaks?

Why anyone would suppprt the trillionaire over ordinary workers in beyond me. He will still be profitable even if his workers can earn a decent wage.

Because you respect people's right to organize, and understand it's importance to a balance of power in the workplace

amazon charges what the market will bear already. do you think amazon just automatically adds 1% to what they pay for something across the board and thats the price they set? lol

it will come out of their profits. theyre extradordinarily profitable already, unionizing is a way of ensuring the workers get their fair share.

As has been mentioned, working people having more money in their pockets is better for the local economy.

Why would you be so selfish that you would want people to struggle financially?

I don't believe that.  If you have time to find a place where you can piss in a bottle, you have time to go to the bathroom.

the left is brainwaashed to believe there are white racists everywhere and theyre mostly working white ppl and the right is brainwashed to respect the wealthy no matter what because theyre better than everyone else no matter how badly theyre fucking everything up.

why would any regular guy give a flying fuck about amazon workers unionizing? lol what a weird cause to take up.

the oligarchy owns our education system.

it is funny how traditionally the right would be on the side of amazon in this dispute but republicans are quiet. lol there is a price to be paid when you censor one political party.

It’s been widely reported. But keep being ignorant if you choose.

If they raise their prices quit buying it, it’s not that hard to figure it out

bezos pays them so little the taxpayer funds their healthcare and grocery budget, while amazon is taking in record profits.

only the most brainwashed little idiot would suddenly be upset at the amazon workers unionizing. this benefits everyone but amazon shareholders.

People only care about something when it affects them directly/personally. Otherwise, it’s “I love me some Amazon. Keep it exactly how it is. Fuck other people”.

But if they lost their cushy job, couldn’t get another one, and had to work there themselves, change of tune. “This is inhumane! We need a union!”

Similar to a person who is all about equal rights/affirmative action because he/she is a “good” person. Until a minority gets promoted above them because of it. Then it’s not fair.

lol fair share

You want to talk about what the market will bear?  Don't they know how much they will be paid before deciding to work there?  They can get their 'fair share' at a higher paying job that requires more education than warehouse work packing boxes.

Wow. I actually respect what someone is saying on the internet.Â
