I would like to thank all my fans and well wishers for the amazing support I’ve had from you since my defeat on Saturday night. Obviously the fight never went as planned but credit has to go to Danny Garcia who caught me with a good shot in the third round that I couldn’t fully recover from. I guess that’s boxing, where one punch can change everything

Wow, I am still in shock that he was KO'ed.

A fight against Kell Brook needs to happen
Kell works him
He needs a year off to let his brain recover
He's already been KO'd in his career, his chin has been chopped in half with this one. A year off minimum would be optimal, but he will never be the same fighter again
ONE punch??? hahaha
Lol @ being surprised at all by this. Amir is well known as having shit for a chin.

Khan is well known for his lack of defense and exciting fights.
I guess people have a right to question his chin but he's an exciting fighter to watch which imo opens him up for big shots.

RicoVelasquez -I love his heart, but he doesn't know how to survive when hurt. He should have been holding on for dear life to try and get his legs back instead of trying to fire back. He does this every time he's hurt though and it's been his undoing. He did it against Prescott and Maidana as well. He was very fortunate to not get finished by Maidana.stillmatic -..HeHitsMeBecauseHeLovesMe - Lol @ being surprised at all by this. Anyone that's been hit near the back of the ear or around the back of the head knows it can turn your lights out.
He still tried to stand his ground and throw hands.
Khan will be back stronger than ever.![]()
The one thing that is totally lacking in his game is fighting on the inside. He can't do it at all. He doesn't know how to clinch, which is why he was getting drilled by Peterson in their last fight. He just stands there straight up and grabs like a muay thai plum. He doesn't know the little tricks like dipping down and using your shoulders to bump off ala Mayweather. Even if he doesn't fight well inside, he has to learn to at least clinch properly.
He's capable of technical brilliance, but his propensity to make big mistakes in the ring is what stops him from reaching his potential. Hopefully he gets it together, hate to see that kind of talent wasted. He's also one of the few guys out there willing to fight anybody.

Why? It can happen to anyone/anytime...
More shocking to me would be if Danny Garcia won a decision. Garcia's only chance was always going to be to catch Khan with something big. Khan went in there reckless and gave him that chance.
Kahn was hurt so bad I was surprised to see the ref not stop it at the end of the third. He took some real damage in this fight.
Anyone have a gif of KO?
Couldn't havee happened to a nicer asshole. Guess he'll stop calling out manny and floyd now.
ttt
Amir Khan is a bit like Fernando Vargas and Gamboa. Dynamic and powerful boxer that doesn't take a punch too well and exacerbates it with poor defense and ultra aggressive style.
Khan at least has balls, he gets up and takes a beating before he is finished. Lots of great fighters are 1 punched.

Floyd Sr. would teach him to move his damn head...
