Anderson was clowning around for 2 rounds straight until got tagged pretty hard.
I think from there he on he developed a sense of respect for Maia's striking and actually looked kind of scared to stand in the pocket. So naturally, he decided to play it safe at range where he had the advantage instead of risking getting possibly KO'd/subbed. I don't see what the confusion is about.
go away cre
This is actually what I thought. Maia clipped him with a decent left hook (i think) that scared Anderson.
Gotta agree with TS. Maia nearly bingo'd him at one point...
yup, he actually did get hit a few times, which made the showboating look pretty silly, especially since he didn't even counter. didn't make a whole lotta sense.
Good to see troll101 finding a new fighter's hands to praise now that his hilarious Mir and Coleman nuthugging has lost its luster.
"Clowning try to get Maia to rush him like Forrest. When he didn't; he looked lost."
And when Maia did, Anderson ran.
