Think about it!
Coming from where he was/is coming from. From a McDonalds job he kept believing in himself and he has made it.
Pretty remarkable and people tend to forget that about him.
I dont think it will be easy to take all that glory away from him (hello GSP).
In todays society where people tend to give up and dont know what to do...you have that guy fighting in Brazil in some unsactioned event where almost everything was allowed.
He kept believing and made it.
Sometimes people forget that if you truly want it and keep hoping and keeping your dreams...you can make it (in all areas).
I dont think that many of the members here could have survived what Anderson has experienced until he got his first good paychecks.
No...

Anderson would give you an autograph and take a picture with you and call you his friend.
I mean thats awesome!!!!
Randoosky - I really don't get all the Anderson hate. Just because the guy is successful doesn't mean you gotta hate him.I used to really like the guy until he turned into a sociopath in the ring. The last straw was his antics against Maia. After seeing him act like an ass for 4 rounds then run around the ring in terror like a coward after Maia decided to go balls to the wall made me hate him for life. If no one can beat him in the UFC I wish he would retire and go away. He's bad for the sport.![]()
anyone who says he is not an inspiration is a hater and nothing more

it's a tremendous story. coming from nothing to a dominant world champion.
if every fighter were like gsp and frankie edgar the sport would be boring. nothing against those guys, you need guys like that too. every sport has various personalities and anderson's is awesome.
he's great for the sport.
Word
good post...
I don't get the hate either...although I doubt it bothers him, knowing how he came up. anderson has earned the right to do whatever he wants in the ring imo.
people may not always like it...I know I don't always agree with it, I think he tries some strategies that seem better in his head than in action and flounders...but I'd wager he has some kind of point he's trying to prove, or method to his madness.
eh, whatever though...irrational hatred is a part of fandom. hate on anderson haters...hate on.
as much as people wolf down mcdonalds food its sad that they use it as the example for the lowest starting point.
Also Anderson actually finishes fights against top guys.
(unlike maynard, edgar, GSP, ect.)

Let go of your grudges, mang. Don't take life so seriously and learn to relax
Great post.
