Why do people keep saying this on here?? Who hasn't he fought at MW and what style has he not fought?
If we broke down his UFC fights into three categories: Wrestler, Striker, Grappler it seems very obvious he has fought all the best guys of different skill sets from his division.
Strikers: Leben, Franklin x2, Marquardt, Irvin, Cote, Griffin, Belfort.
Wrestlers: Okami (kinda hard to define),Hendo, Chael x2....might I add these are two of the best wrestlers in the sports history regardless of weight class.
Grapplers: Lutter, Leites, Maia.
12/15 of these are finishes. 11 being inside the first or second round.
Quit being such noobs. Saying he's ducking Weidman or ducking Lombard or any other nonsense is haters reaching for something. You don't have to think he is the GOAT (although its pretty obvious) or be your favorite fighter but give credit where credit is due.
because if they can discredit anderson it gives them some excuse to claim there favorite fighter is the best.

He is an a division ruled by Average sized LHW who couldn't cut it at LHW so moved to MW.....and out of prime fighters who went to MW from LHW to become relevant again.
Is quite sad that he is sticking in this division after what we saw he did to Forrest.....
Anderson has proved he can hang at LHW division....and he is a decent size LHW.
I guess he doesn't wanna risk it against the better MMA/wrestler fighters in LHW division after what chael sonnen the guy who couldn't cut it at LHW did to him.
I say Anderson should just got to LHW and fight average size LHW like rashad/Shogun......since he is so afraid of going after the LHW title because of jon jones.

How does one "pick" their weight class?? You make it seem like signing up for co-ed soccer. You fight in the weight class that is best suited to your body type, weight and how hard it is to make the weight. Anderson silva has never missed weight at MW, never gets tired and isn't some obvious towering figure compared to those who he fights at MW. The guy used to fight at 168. Pretty simple concept if your brain works correctly.
Beating Forrest and Irvin isn't exactly the best test to see if you can hang with LHW's. He destroyed both of them but Forrest can hardly beat Tito.

How does one "pick" their weight class??
by cutting and dieting down from one's natural weight of 220lbs (which is Silva).
By natural weight, I guess that you mean the weight he's at when he's not working out on a regular basis. If so, then he's still in the right weight class because guys like Sonnen, Palhares, Weidman, Bisping etc. have similar "natural weights."

How bout this...all LHW fighters are just washed out HWs. Hendo, for example, could fight at HW but is scared of the competition. We all saw what he did to Fedor, so he should stay at HW with the real competition. He just doesnt wanna risk it against the better wrestlers/strikers at HW...

At the time Anderson fought them, Franklin and Belfort were top 5 ranked. I actually meant to refer to Forrest Griffin as a former champ who was top 5 ranked at the time he lost to Anderson.
