Anderson retiring thoughts??

I have a feeling after Anderson fights the winner of Stann/Sonnen he may retire hes like 37 you guys see him fighting to 39 or 40??

the only question with anderson is he has to fight sonnen again purely because the people will say if he held him down a minute longer he would of lost.

BUT if he did retire i would just be happy that i got to witness the greatest MW fighter in MMA history

I think Bisping should fight Dan Henderson to clear all this stuff up about him getting a title shot.

He should retire whenever he wants to. But the only thing worse than staying to long is leaving to early imo (barry sanders). its a fine line and no matter what some people say he still has lots to prove if he wants to. Granted he doesnt have to, but i would love to see him really test himself in the LHW division or in a few super fights.

Anderson deserves to go down as the Greatest mw ever, even if he were to lose his next 5 fights. he has cemented that legacy and no one will pass it for a long time. but he still seems to be in the prime of his career. he should fight until he has no more drive or he notices his body giving out imo.

I would love to still be seeing Anderson fighting at 40 or 42 yrs old if he can hang. My guess is he can if he wants because he has managed to avoid damage his whole career and stay injury free for the most part. He could easily fight for another 5 yrs.

almost no one retires at the top... everyone retires late.  Anderson just signed mega endorsement deals, he's not retiring any time soon.

I hope your right

He has more than enough time to go up to LHW and have 4 or 5 big fights.

If Diaz doesnt beat BJ and if Chael doesnt beat Stann.... Andersons next fight will be GSP.

Glovegate - He won't retire until he starts losing and people start saying he was "never that good."

If Anderson has enough money to retire I don't see him doing this. Phone Post

Nothing would make me sadder or happier than this. If he retires on top, awesome. But then we'd never get to see his genius in the octagon again. True fans lose if he retires IMO. Phone Post

I highly highly doubt that GSP wants to fight Anderson in Brazil just like Anderson would fight GSP in Canada

I would say some place neutral like Vegas or a Football stadium imagine that 60,000+ fans

I wanna see him lose first . Phone Post

If he is forced to fight people he already destroyed I would retire early too.

Nothing to prove doing that

Anderson Silva is going to be around for at least another 5-6 years. He is knocking out and submitting a pretty tough division and not taking much damage in the process (even including Sonnens 320 baby slaps) so why not? Unless he has some medical conditions or nagging injuries we don't know about he is looking good.

Yeah GSP vs Anderson will happen just for the $$$$ potential.

The UFC won't let that fight go, they are gonna make too much money to let that slip by.

As to when it happens, is anyone's guess.

I seem to recall Chael knocking him down 3 times. Phone Post

He should go out on top as a legend instead of hanging around and going out as an embarrassment, assuming he slows down in the future.
