I would love to see Anderson have few fights in a row against some top ranked wrestlers. His most difficult fights were against Hendo who won round 1 and against Sonnen who won all 4 rounds and a careless mistake cost him the fight.
Okami, Franklin (x2 !), Maia, Belfort, Irvin, Forrest, Nate, Tavares are not wrestlers, not at all. They cannot complete a double leg (!). Not that they are bad fighters, but it is obvious Silva has fought VERY FEW wrestlers and in 1 of these 2 fights, he nearly lost the title.
Silva walks at 220 AT LEAST.
I would LOVE to see him:
1. vs. Jones
2. vs. Davis
3. vs. Evans
I doubt he wins even 1 out of these 3 fights. 185 generally does not have many wrestlers, if any, except Sonnen, but 205 has plenty.
After SO MANY sub-experts/strikers, lets see him for a change vs. 2-3 wrestlers.
I just said this in my thread about Chael having the only chance. I agree 100%
Anderson does not like black on black crime.
Not just Chael...Davis, Jones, Evans...would give Anderson SERIOUS problems.
I am actually sure they would all beat him. Its basically Sonnen with sub-defense. No way Anderson can stop the takedown consistently vs. Davis say. He is going down FAST.

Sorry, not to get picky, BUT Anderson never fought Tavares. You must be thinking of Tales Leites... Otherwise, I agree mostly other than him vs. Davis
Anderson > Everyone else
DrewB,
My bad, it was Thales Leites indeed.
TehSpider,
C'mon man..they WALK around the same weight. Its a 5-10lbs difference at most. Evans probably looks smaller than Anderson. And good fighters at 185 are known to jump to 205 (HENDO is the BEST for that !).
Lots of challenges vs. wrestlers @205 for Silva. Lets see how he does vs. Jones or Davis !
I actually don't believe he is on another level. He is an awesome fighter though. But I think he is in a division which does not have many great wrestlers which is his biggest problem IMO.
If Silva is really so good, he can go up to 205 (like he did once already) and dominate Davis / Jones. I am however 100% sure he will lose.
Only lay and pray can stop the Goat
I think Jones will finish Silva on the ground, like Shogun.
Evan would be doing the stanky leg again.
I agree somewhat as I think the middleweight is lacking great wrestlers in general when compared to all the other divisions. P4P that is.
Silva ALREADY fought @205 vs. Irvin.
If he is so good as they hype him to be, best P2P, etc...surely he would dominate Jones @205...IMO, Silva will try to duck Jones as much as he could @205. Jones would clown Silva, take him down with ease and beat him up badly.
judom -Silva walks at 220 AT LEAST.LOL!
At MOST... not at least you fail.
