I mean he’s not really fighting back. It’s a common legal move. Plead not guilty so the case gets stalled for several months. His lawyer can come back and say that Jeff completed rehab and has been sober. Then the judge will go easy on him and most likely give him another slap on the wrist. At most he’ll get a year of probation.
