Another great example of Jones' tact and diplomacy

...and this is the guy whom so many insist is LYING when he says he doesn't want to fight Anderson -- he is just being tactful because Anderson said he doesn't want to fight him.

Yes, because Jones is an expert at being diplomatic, he always says the right thing and is always very careful to avoid saying or doing anything that might make himself look bad.

lol

People will go to any lengths to discard the simple, logical explanation staring them in the face (that Jones is telling the truth) and accept as a given an entirely speculated explanation that contradicts literally everything they see and hear.

Well let's not go overboard here.

Fighters decline fights frequently, Dana is hanging the entire event on Jones, but if he put a card together so poorly that there was only one fight that mattered enough to hold the event, who's fault was that?

It's become popular to hate Jones because of his attitude.

The first fighter in a long long time that is really exciting and a force to be reckoned with, and 'MMA fans' hate him because he's not a good enough person in their eyes.

You hate JBJ? Me too! He sucks!

Losers gonna lose and haters gonna hate. When MMA becomes all about image like the recording industry, we're fucked.

On a side note: How in the hell is Chris Brown still a thing? That dude should be shunned, shot and pissed on.

Society, you're seriously fucking stupid.

one can be tactful in one situation, while not in another. very few people go through life making 100% fucktard statements. sometimes, when he has enough time and cousel on how to deal with something, he says and does something that makes sense. his lack of tact usually comes in situations he is not prepared for.

that being said, i do believe he doesn't want to fight anderson. it is clear from his turning down sonnen that he wants the odds to be as near 100% in his favor as possible. In his mind, even he thinks he has a 60-70-80% chance of beating Silva, that is not good enough. With Sonnen, that 1-5% chance of losing was too much for him

100x yes

fighters decline fights all the time. But champions shouldnt. IMHO

It's both of their faults. It really sucks for all the fighters involved.
And if this wasn't a PPV it would probably still go on.
PPV model has to go, or at least change so that the main card of a ppv is much improved compared to a free card.
It's not a great card bit without Jones it still has plenty of fights, but not $60 worth of fights. Phone Post
