So I'm a trader that works from around 9am to 1pm m through f. Business is so slow I haven't made much money in two years and savings are starting to get slim. I was previously a restaurant manager at everything from fine dining to fast casual. I have a wife and three young kids. My schedule is great that it'll allow me to work evenings but i'd obviously like to maximize income while minimizing time away from family. Ideally I'd work two or three evenings per week. I live in Chicago I'm college educated. Thanks Og.
Start your own small business that has low overhead and fits your schedule.
Low overhead means you use a skill you posess as the main product.

Are you unable to work more than 20 hours a week at your current job?
Yes my market is only open 4 hours a day. I trade commodities at the Chicago board of trade.
Washing/detailing cars is a low overhead business to earn extra income. My car wash guy makes anywhere from 100-250 a day washing cars. $20 for wash,to 50-$60 wash and wax,he comes to my house for 3 hours washed about 2-3 cars then goes to my friends and washes 2-4 cars there. He does this everyday and had a 7-3pm job. In the summer when the sun goes down late he can wash cars till 8:30-9pm.
Fluffer
The guy usually spends a good amount of time on each car and does a better job than the local carwash place, i like the
Convenience of him coming to my house plus the dude is a nice guy and i like giving him my business he is is a hard working guy with 2 kids. In my opinion detailing 2-3 cars a day for $50-75 is the way to go rather than washing a shit load of cars for $20 but beggars cant be choosers is a saying i use. Good luck, p.s last resort sell some wolf tickets
I'm thinking of starting small scale catering for birthdays and stuff like that. I have a ridiculous kitchen and cookshack smoker and nice Weber grill
Bar tender or waiter.
Name us some skills you have.
Do you know c++
Are you more of a physical worker?
Are you good at designing stuff
Maybe you'd like flipping houses since its in your area of expertise
I went to business school in college with concentration in hospitality management. I can cook better than anyone I know and I can do it quickly. Managed high volume restaurants for ten years. I don't really want to work for anyone else and I need to be flexible. Ok with computer and I Can trade commodity options which isn't easy but doesn't translate to much.

I was going to say learn to trade financial securities but you already have that covered.
How much extra income do you really need?
Working two days a week at McDonalds can earn you 5 grand extra income yearly...
