Any True All Around Geniuses?

I saw this definition on the web of an all around genius as someone who excelled in science, art, literature, people skills and sports.

Benjamin Franklin seems to have excelled in everything but sports. Da Vinci? To my knowledge he didn't excel in sports, maybe not people skills either. But

Modern day? Feynman excelled in science and had great people skills. He wrote well, too, so I'll give him literature. He played music, but I've never heard he excelled in it, and I'm pretty sure he never excelled in athletics.

Thomas Jefferson is pretty legit.

i believe klitchko bros and karelin have phds. sorry for mispelling

Yeah, I can think of people who have excelled in three or maybe four of those areas. But I can't think of anyone who has really excelled in all five.

Sports is generally the one that keeps people from qualifying. Bit then you have Mike Reid, an all pro football player who went on to write a bunch of hit songs. He seems to have excelled in everything but science.

Modern Day Renaissance Men

Examples of modern day Renaissance men include:

  • Bono
  • Brad Pitt
  • Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins
  • James Franco
  • Ryan Gosling
  • Hugh Jackman
  • Steve Jobs
  • Viggo Mortensen
  • Justin Timberlake
  • Pharrell Williams
I don't know about the others but I could see Hugh Jackman as one.

Another "not quite" would be Frank Ryan, who became a tenured math professor while playing in the NFL.
After he retired from football, he held a number of administrative positions at various universities, so I'm assuming he has people skills as well as excelling in science and athletics.
But as far as I know, he has no real accomplishments in literature or art.
