Does anybody know Sgt. Goss, AKA forum member AmericanSoldier? He's over in Iraq. I've emailed him several times and haven't received a response, just hoping that everything is OK. If anybody knows him, can I get an update?

A sad day when the army considers children "the enemy". I know (well. i could never "know" from the POV of someone who's served) that its tough over there, and I think I can speak for us all when I say thanks for fighting for us. I hope everything works out. At least you're coming home safe to your kids, wife, and the rest of us.

wow...if that is true, then that's Fucked up.
Since when were iraqi children the enemy?
good luck AmericanSoldier you tried to help and do the right thing dont ever let them tell you you were wrong or that there is anyting wrong with you.
normaly i would say go to the press but i dont think the press could care less.
and the army probably have a clause that sais you cant if there was any justice you would get a full appology and be reinstated immediately.
what you did on a level most peaple cant understand is made an effort to build a good relation between the military and the youth of iraq what the army has just done to you sends a msg to the rest not to bother in fear of court martial.
That sucks but I too thank you for your service. Judging you solely from this forum you seem like a stand-up guy with high integrity. That will stay with you so keep your chin high. Get home safely.

Sorry to hear that A.S. That really sucks. You do all that time in that shithole over there and that is the thanks you get. Best of luck to you man. I will be hoping that everything turns out OK.

"normaly i would say go to the press but i dont think the press could care less."
What makes you say that? The press is very concerned about soldiers. Most of the coverage on Haditha for example, seems to center around the fucked up, horrible conditions these guys have to work under and how that can make you snap, despite what many are saying about the press being determined to make sure "that vets come back and get spit on!!!" (Can't remember his name, GOP senator said it on Larry King last week...apparently in response to the invisible man...) I know: I watch way too much cable news.
They've had to do much more than they should and its inevitable people are going to snap. Kicking somebody out cause he made a minor mistake like AS? Thats crap. The media would love that. High civilian command has a huge target on it right now, and rightfully so.
Hey WPB! How are things goin? The vehicles he put the decals on (and most weren't actually put on, just placed against the vehicle without actually adhering them) were in a junkyard, with most of the tanks and such being old Russian equipment. This is what I was told anyways, I can't tell a Russian from an American tank!
TT for American Soldier. I hope it all works out ok.
i know him...went to high school with him...quik, email me on myspace or yahoo....derrick_garza@yahoo.com...i'll hook you up with his myspace account address...
Ground cable? Is the thought it would end up in an IED?
Anymore details?
