My wife and I are going to Korea next month and trying to decide if we should take a tour of the DMZ. What I want to know is if there are any restrictions on taking pictures of the North Korean guards or anything else. Anyone have any experience?

Yes lots of restrictions, follow the guides instructions or they will delete your pictures, I cannot exactly remember where you could and could not take pictures, but it was pretty clear where it was ok and where it was not ...
Go with the USFO tour it is not the cheapest but they get you to places that the other non US gvt approved tours do not...
