I think it’s fucking amazing. It’s only 4 tracks which sucks, but they deliver.

Apparently it’s mostly written by Brent and based on a recently failed serious relationship so it has an emotional feel to it. It was written amd considered as a solo record but Troy and Brann helped out so much they released under Mastodon.

Definitely DO NOT expect it to sound like Remission/Leviathan if you haven’t heard it. Ioss those days but love this shit too. They can do anything.

All 4 songs are great but Toe to Toes touches me in my special area. As well as Brent’s vocals

Me too. But Mastodon has done it well. A little bit every album. As another plus, they are still making great music, just different.

Recently became a big fan of Mastodon, and really like how versatile they are. I liked the EP but wasn’t crazy about it, really dug Emperor of Sand though.
