I’m not talking about a main source of income, just some extra money. Complete waste of time? I’ve watched some videos, and done a couple of google searches, but I trust you guys more.

I guess it works, but I’m wondering if it’s worth the trouble, Any tips… Anything really. How to generate real traffic, without spamming my friends and family on social media… etc.
I managed a call center in north Scottsdale that was an affiliate shim sham. You bought a website and when people visited your site, 1 of your 150 affiliated websites, you got a percentage of what they bought. I quit once I really understood what was going on. Mob run. 2 ended up going to prison. The lead salesman owed the investor over 250k. I fired a salesman for doing meth in the shitter, he calls later and threatens to blow up the building. Monday , Richie had him back at his desk.

In my experience, here’s the deal with internet marketing: Most people approach it as a way to make quick money online. That works 0% of the time and all it leads to is some “guru” charging you for a course.
If you’re willing to create content for a specific group of people with a common interest, hobby, occupation, etc and earn their trust and then drop an affiliate link, then you can make it work. That process takes a long time and a lot of work. The whole “make 10k/month starting now” is all bullshit.
If you read case studies of people who make it work, they’re really good at what they do, Work hard, and wait for traffic to trickle in. Depending on the medium you choose (website vs YouTube for example) getting sizable traffic can take 1-2 years before it starts to pay off. I can give examples lol.

That does help, just looking to hear from people with experience. I’ve seen videos from obvious con men, to people that seem much more reasonable. Thanks for your feedback.
